I may end up coming to Warden over reading week - it will depend if I can drag Lindsay with me (I'd feel kind of awkward just showing up on my own, since I don't really know anyone). There are a couple of things though:
The quality of indoor action photography can be pretty bad...It's not too bad in our arena:
Lindsay on a horse named Dalton:
But it can be kind of dark: (me and Lindsay playing around doing pairs jumping)
But I took pics at another arena, and the light was worse so the pics are pretty bad: (they're kind of blurry, no matter what I do)
Although some are not too bad:
So it's kind of tricky! It's so much easier to get nice pics outside:
And I can't wait until summer when the light is great:
Secondly, because you have to use a flash inside, you have to be sure that your horse isn't afraid of flashes (some horses are, though most don't care). It can also be distracting to riders to have things flashing at you all the time...So I'd want to check with the other riders and the instructor before I start flashing away!
Anyway, I'll see what I can do! I'd love to practice for a while...
