Hi, I read some of the previous posts about your schooling shows and was curious, are there different levels? Are the riders judged and ribbons handed out? Are the riding classes fairly large? Do you have overall standings by class and awards handed out to the leaders? What do you do if two people want to ride the same horse in the same class?
Hi, thanks for taking an interest in our schooling shows. WES holds schooling shows every few months to show off the talents and abilities of their students. WES schooling shows are run by a committee with several members. For more information on the committee please email: info@wardenequestrianschool.ca thanks!
To answer your first question there are different levels. Levels range from A to E, these levels were made by WES to determine a students abilities and to provide clear goals on what to work on next.
Secondly, the riders are judged and ribbons are handed out. There is a judge present who decides which place goes where and what ribbons are handed to whom. There are a maximum of six to seven riders in eatch class.
The Riding classes are fairly large, this all depends on the turnout for the day, luckily we've always had a good turnout. We have overall standings by class and awards are handed out to the leaders of eatch division.
This can be somewhat tricky sometimes, but thank you for asking. usually there are multiple classes that take place, so everyone rides their horse of choice and is happy for the most part. You should come out and see what the shows are like! We are holding our next show on Sunday February the 20th. Please come out and see, if not participate!
Hopefully this answered all your questions, Cheers, the WES staff and management

Thank you Wesley for the info and thank you for the invitation. I may drop bye to watch as I am also looking for a change from my current riding barn. Sounds like an exciting event. Look forward to it. I also see by the posts on this board that there are lots of riders around my same age. I live in the Toronto area so the drive would not be too far I think.
I would like to start working towards Trillium as this is my goal, do you have horses available to ride in this circuit? I am also thinking about buying a horse so that we can grow together, do you have a boarding option available?
Sorry for all the questions, but I am finding it really hard to find a good barn who has great coaches and great horses that can advance with you. I am really bored at my barn now.
Thanks for taking interest! Is there a name or "handle" which we can call you by instead of Anonymous? We'd love to see you at the show!
As for Trillium as your riding goal, we do have two or three horses available that can be used for such events. Your best bet would Probably be Curtis, a large Thouroughbred that raced and competed in such events as the Trillium Circuit. He should be more than enough to complete any goal pertaining to your task at hand.
As for boarding options, you'd have to contact and possibly meet with Sherri for this one. Boarding options are availible, but Sherri would know much more about it than I do. To contact her please send an email to: info@wardenequestrianschool.ca Thanks.
As for all the questions, thats fine. Keep asking them here, or use the email address above, or both. We'll try and get back to you as quickly as possible with answers. If you do decide to drop by and possibly stay, we're a great place to be at, and there's never a dull moment.
Cheers. From everyone at WES.
PS. As for Kristen's question, I don't know who the judge will be, probably the one from the last show, but you'll have to ask Sherri on that one.
